This refurbishment project underwent several changes in specification before the scheme eventually got to site. The changes mainly concerned the replacement wall finishes to the main swimming pool and changing room walls, the product that was used in the end was a large format porcelain wall tile at 3000mm x 1000mm it really was a large format tile!!

Our specialist tiling contractors were however used to working with the material and made a fantastic job which everybody is extremely pleased with. In both the Changing Rooms the existing sanitaryware was replaced with new as were the toilet and shower cubicles, new thermostatic showers with individual electronic temperature controls were fitted and the Male Changing Room was altered so that a much needed Disabled toilet could be incorparated.

The added complexity on this project was the fact that the Leisure Centre was shared with the neighbouring secondary school and it had to remain open for the first half of the project, meaning that temporary changing facilities had to be created for a period. Who said life was easy we love a challenge here at CDS and the end result was another satisfied customer with a job completed on time and within Budget!!
