The bespoke kitchen designers and manufacturers Tom Howley approached us to carry out the refurbishment of a soon to be vacant shop unit in the upmarket town of Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire. As this was the third project for them we knew exactly what was required and how we could achieve it, as soon as the outgoing tenant vacated we were in and the unit was stripped back to the shell in a matter of days.
The preparation of the shop for this client is a very precise operation as the entire shell is designed to highlight the magnificent cabinetry they are selling and the layout drawings are crucial. The installation of the new air conditioning, fire alarm, lighting and PA systems is all installed above new MF ceilings and behind the new walls and dry lining, everything is then taped and jointed. There is a specific fibrous plaster cornice installed around all the perimeters and feature chimney breasts and the entire shop is painted in different Farrow & Ball Modern Emulsion colours in each of the different sets.
The other constant feature in all the showrooms is the new hardwood shopfront which we designed and manufactured in our joinery factory, the same mouldings are used in each location as are the double doors and door furniture, the only thing that changes are the heights and widths.
Once the kitchens are fitted we return to touch up the decorations and carry out any fine tuning and then they are open for business.
